Why are we meeting here and not your local, maybe we have a different local, we must have a different local because the girl of my dreams is definitely not at mine, more like my worst nightmares. If one more pissed chick come up to me with a half lit cigarette hanging out of her mouth sluring her words, trying to chat me up whilst trying to grab a handful of arse (or something worse) Im gunna scream. Its bloody tragic. Not that Im adverse to the affections of the opposite sex, hey Ive been in love before, and I like it, well most of it anyway, apart from the bit where it ends, that sucks. So thats why Im here, Im giving this a go after doing a bit of thinking about my single status of late, not the I mind being single, oh no sitting up in bed at 2:00am watching the shopping channel whilst tucking into take away after a great night out and not being judged rocks (hey dont knock it till you have tried it). Its just that its well, a little self indulgent, ok, a LOT self indulgent, and the fact that, of recent, well Ive being a tiny bit lonely. Ive got plenty of friends, but being alone at nights finding myself re-arranging my sock drawer, and as much fun as it is, isnt cutting it. I need to do something a little bit more social and purposeful, to have someone of substance to share things with rather than just sporting colleagues and beer buddies. Its time to put away some of the self indulgence and to admit the parties over, well at least that its run out of champagne and moved on to the cooking sherry, and to do something about it. 😎
