If given the choice between these two options, which one would you choose?:
1. To go and pick up your children in your big 4x4 SUV, wearing your beautiful and expensive jewelry and Chanel clothes, knowing that you will have to look after your children on your own because your husband is too busy with his high-powered job,(or worse entertaining the latest barbie doll in the office!) (of course you can always talk with the nanny)knowing that you will most probably prepare supper on your own, feed the children, tell them a bedtime story, explain to them why their dad is not there to kiss them good-night and then spend the remaining part of the evening on the phone with your friends talking about your latest purchases to try to forget about the emotional emptiness?
OR
2. Go to pick your children from school in a little second-hand car with nice clothes but no expensive brands and no diamond on your finger, knowing that your husband will be home shortly, as he does most days, (sometimes with a bunch of flowers!)to do the home-work with your children and play with them.
Knowing that you will make supper with your husband helping you and laughing in the kitchen while the kids watch you both with pride, that the evening mealtime will be a time to share about the day and listen to each other stories, joys and maybe worries. Knowing that your husband will help you put them to sleep and will continue his series of bedtime stories about the adventures of a naughty little spider. And finally knowing that you will have time to curl up on the sofa with your hubby, sharing about your day, making plans, maybe making love! maybe watching a romantic comedy or just listening to some soft music....knowing that your husband is always there to go to bed with you and that the sheet are never cold....

Of course my views on life are not black and white...you know...there is only one black and one white...but there are many shades of grey...sometimes as many as 50
